When Maddie Rae Greenspan was 11 years old she was, like most kids ages 5-15, swept up in the DIY slime making craze. Also like many, Maddie often found herself on wild goose chases for one of the key ingredients needed to make homemade slime…GLUE!! This is where Maddie Rae proved that she was not like most 11 year olds. With the help of her dad, Howard Greenspan, and his consumer products company, Maddie worked hard to create her own brand of glue aptly named, Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue. She was involved in every aspect of the process, from the product name to branding and packaging. She attended photo shoots and had the final approval of Slimemaking.com, an educational and interactive website that includes the science behind slime, slime recipes and slime making contests. A shop section includes purchase options for Slime Glue, Slime Jars and eventually slime making accessories.
In 2017, hot off the heels of her successful product launch, Maddie Rae set the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s Largest Slime. She directed You Tube slimers, and hundreds of attendees in mixing her namesake glue, liquid starch, purple pigment powder, and purple glitter to make an enormous swimming pool (literally) of sparkly purple slime weighing in at 13,820 pounds!! It also led to Slime Bash 2018, the first ever convention of it’s kind.
Maddie is now getting ready to host Slime Bash 2, at Mohegan Sun October 27 and 28th. The viral social media hype for the second bash attracted the attention of Hollywood Slime Star, Karina Garcia! Karina will be attending Slime Bash 2 as a special celebrity guest, participating in various activities such as a Slime Demonstration and Q&A session, autograph signing, picture taking, selling slime and other retail products at her booth.Bigger and better than Slime Bash 2018, attendees can stroll through much larger VIP and Slimer Alley sections, which holds 34 of their favorite Instagram and Youtube VIP slimers and 90 up and coming slimers in Slimer Alley. Guests can make awesome slime in the Make Your Own Slime Pits, trade slime and other goodies in the Trading Arena, gather around two stages to watch live Slime Demo’s and Q&A sessions from VIPs, participate in the World Slime Making Championship competition and all can visit Maddie Rae’s “Pop Up Shop” to purchase newly released slime products and a Limited Edition, VIP Commemorative Poster!
