This week’s meet a mom interview is with Milford’s Sherri Gallina, a realtor operating in Fairfield and New Haven County!
What drew you to your current vocation?
At the age of 18, I obtained my real estate license and worked for a builder during my 20s. My love for home building and design has always been a passion of mine. When I became pregnant, I sold my business, Yoga 203, to stay at home and care for my child during the pandemic. After a few years, I began to contemplate a new career path that would provide flexibility, room for growth, and allow me to remain involved in my community. I am thrilled with my decision and have been fortunate to meet many wonderful individuals through my new career.
What’s next, what does the future have in store for you? Anything we should keep an eye out for?
My aspiration is to build a team and incorporate more technology into my business. Additionally, I’m passionate about giving back to the community and have been involved with the Milford United Way, as well as other local moms, to support our small businesses. If you’re interested in staying up-to-date on the local real estate market, feel free to email me with the subject “Property Watch-Your Street Name”.
How has being a mom helped you progress, personally or professionally?
I love being a mom, my kids inspire me daily.
How has it challenged you?
Time management, am I right? Lol
Favorite CT season/weather?
Hands down SUMMER! Summer in Milford is the absolute best.
Favorite hang out spot in Milford? Either with or without kids!
There are so many places we love in Milford! Our go-to spots are usually Milford Yacht Club, Dockside, and Colony because they’re very family-friendly. I’ve actually put together a Milford Town Guide that includes not only my personal favorites but also recommendations from locals, such as the best beaches, parks, and annual events to check out.
